1970's Oversized Solid Brass Nautilus Holder

There’s something wildly glamorous and oddly intuitive about these oversized vintage brass nautilus shells!! The very first time I found one, I gasped & then didn’t hesitate to immediately slide a bottle of champagne right into it like it had been waiting its whole life to chill something celebratory. What else could possibly deserve to sit inside of one of these treasures?!
 
Fast-forward to a few years later, and I’m at Kelly Wearstler’s bar in Santa Monica (The Santa Monica Proper) and there they are. The same gleaming nautilus shells, styled exactly the same way. Champagne nestled inside like it was born to be there. I felt so seen. 😉🍾
